A day of Rock n Roll Music

The Iowa Rock n Roll Music Association Hall of Fame is opening a satellite museum display at Market on Main in downtown Ottumwa. To kick off the satellite museum, the Market will be hosting a day of educational workshops & performances including:

10-10:30 am – Guitar Workshop – Led by Gary Richards

Whether you are a beginner or have been playing for years, bring your guitar and learn a little something new from an Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame Inductee. There will be an extra guitar available for those who do not own one. Everyone’s welcome.

10:30-11 am – Bass Workshop – Led by Dennis Duke

Whether you are a beginner or have been playing for years, bring your bass and learn a little something new from an Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame Inductee. There will be an extra bass available for those who do not own one.

11-11:30 am – Song School – Led by Luke Davids

11:30 am-Noon – Performance Workshop – With Gary Richards and Dennis Duke

All participants are invited to come together to learn a song to perform at the kick-off event beginning at 6 pm Saturdaynight. It doesn’t matter if you were involved in the workshops or are a local musician, all are welcome. Please bring your instrument if you have one.

6-11 pm – ┬áKick-Off Concert

Youth Performances, Brief Ceremony, and Live Music from Harrison Lane, Iowa All-Stars, and FreeStyle.
